Get the Best of Old and New Philly

Getting to the Finer Points of Point Breeze’s Features

If you enjoy art, Point Breeze is the place for you. Perhaps the most famous example of the artistic culture in this community is the We the Youth mural that renowned artist Keith Haring painted with the youth organization CityKids. It is located at 22nd and Ellsworth Streets, and there is a community garden located just underneath it. There are several other murals dotted throughout the neighborhood, thanks to the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.

There are plenty of sidewalks that make strolling through this neighborhood a breeze. It is very easy to get to your favorite restaurants, dog parks, and dive bars this way, saving you some gas money or bus fare; however, if public transportation is your thing, the Broad Street line has connections here, and there are several SEPTA bus routes through the area. Plus, for longer travel plans, the Philadelphia International Airport is only a few miles away.
